Hi, I'm Umberto and I am a former stock broker turned tech entrepreneur and part time photographer.
I cannot recall the first time I picked up a camera, but I will never forget when I started to take photography seriously: a trip to Java during the summer of 2015. Since then I have been working on improving my travel and landscape photography. I do edit my photos but prefers a more natural look rather than the mainstream over editing we often see on social medias.
One day, through a friend I landed a series of food photography assignments and realized that you can have fun with your camera without having to travel far, something that proved very useful during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
I am currently based in Amsterdam, but you could also easily bump into me around Italy photographing vineyards or in Portugal, trying to learn how to surf.
I am not a gear freak. I shot with many different cameras brands, both professional and entry level models. These days my preference goes for Fujifilm.
